Described by club historian Cliff Halsall as a "champion forward being able to play the big man's game with the nimbleness and evasiveness of a rover".
In 2001 Ian was selected at Centre half Forward in Euroa's Greatest Ever Team.
May he Rest in Peace.

Half-time of the Senior game saw a terrific crowd descend on the clubrooms to hear a Question & Answer session with premiership player Kevin Hill, conducted by Matthew Mills.
Kevin's playing honours
1958 Premiership player
1963 Premiership player
1964 Premiership player
1965 Premiership player
Kevin spoke fondly of his playing days in the 50s and 60s playing in Premiership teams with the likes of champions Dick O'Bree and Ian Hughes, along with his immense pride in the 3rd generation of his family now representing the Magpies, his Grandchildren playing football and netball.
Kevin made specific mention of how happy he was to see Katie's sons out there playing for Euroa, the 4th generation of Williams family to do so, a wonderful tradition that all involved with the club should be proud of.
The day was a roaring success, many faces of days gone by returning to the Memorial Oval to share a story and a drink with old friends and teammates, with planning already underway to ensure 2025 Past Players Day is just as enjoyable.
A huge thank-you to all that attended, and to those that helped make the day the tremendous success that it was.

A huge congratulations to all of our Magpies who represented the GVL today. Unfortunately our thirds boys lost but both senior teams won!
We would also like to give Kellie Davidson a big shout out for her best on court performance.
How are lucky are we have such talent at Euroa!
